Board Members
Deborah S. Short, an expert in human resources and capital management, is the founder and president of the Barbara K. Brooks Transition Home. Prior to establishing the home, Debbie’s career was in human resource management with Delaware Health and Social Services, at The Stockley Center, and Delaware Family Court.
Debbie is a member of Alpha Beta Gamma and the Business Honor Society. She earned an Associates of Applied Arts and Science in Business Administration at Delaware Technical and Community College and certification as a Certified Human Resources Management Professional, as recognized by the Society of Human Resource Professionals (SHRM).
In support of her community, she volunteers as a member of the Sussex County Return Day Committee. In addition to supporting the Delmarva Teen Challenge Men’s program, Debbie is a member of TAP Faith and sits on the advisory board for the New Street House, a men’s supportive living home. Debbie is an active member of Conley’s United Methodist Church.
The Honorable Pamela Deeds Holloway
Pamela Deeds Holloway is a graduate of the University of Delaware, and received her Juris Doctor degree from the Delaware Law School of Widener College (now Widener University). She was a practicing attorney with a concentration in family law, and served as a Master and Commissioner in the Family Court of Delaware from 1984 through 2015. She is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association, the Sussex County Bar Association and the Terry-Carey American Inns of Court, and is a past member of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and the Eastern Regional Interstate Child Support Association.
